In continuation to the ADVERTISEMENT No. CI&C (III) 16 / 2001 / Pt / 96 Dated 13th February,2016 regarding inviting on-line Application ( Ref deptt website: www.investinassam.com) from the intending candidates for filling up of 93 (Ninety three) Nos. of vacant posts of Extension Officer (Industries) and equivalent post of Economic Investigator (EI) under the Commissioner of Industries & Commerce, Assam, Guwahati-21, the Terms & Conditions and further details about Selection procedure and written examinations, oral examinations and Marking system are as follows:

TERMS & CONDITIONS:

  •  The candidate must be an Indian Citizen and permanent resident of Assam.
  •  Canvassing directly or indirectly will be a disqualification.
  • Incomplete applications will not be accepted by the system and will stand rejected by the online system and no reasons will be assigned thereof.
  • Please refer “ Instructions sheet” for online application.
  •  The candidate must give one preferred examination centre in the online form.
  • Applicant will have to appear in the Written Examination based on the self certificate in the online application form as uploaded in the website: www.investinassam.com .
  • Candidates fulfilling all the terms and conditions, the following documents should be scanned and attached with on-line application. All the following documents should be self attested.
  • A recent passport size photographs.
  •  Scanned Signature
  • HSLC Admit card / certificate as age proof document.
  •  Educational Qualification certificates.
  • Caste certificate
  •  The above documents will be scrutinized and & verified at the time of oral interview
  • The E-call letter will be issued online after last date of submission of online applications ie after 24th February,2016 which should be produced before invigilator for entry to the examination hall for written test and any subsequent interview and test etc in future.
  •  This E- call letter will be issued as per self Certificate of the candidate in the online application form. In case the candidate is found later on that he/she is not fulfilling the eligibility criteria, his/her candidature will be summarily rejected
  • The date and venue of written test will be published in the local daily NEWS paper & in the website: www.investinassam.com
  •  No TA or DA will be admissible for the journey in connection with written test / oral interview.

SELECTION PROCEDURE:

  •  The candidates will be selected through written test and oral interview.
  • The candidates will have to appear in the written test, which will be notified in due course and published in the local daily News Paper and in the deptt. website www:investinassam.com.
  • The written test paper will contain 85 marks.
  •  Based on the performance of the candidates in the written test, candidates will be called for oral interview in order of merit in the ratio 1:3 (i.e. Three candidates against each vacant post)
  • The date for oral interview will also be notified in due course in the local daily news paper and Deptt. websites www:ivestinassam.com.
  •  The oral interview will contain 15 marks.
  • Oral interview will be taken by a Selection Committee .
  • The Selection Committee will verify the original documents relating to Age, Qualification, Category and others and will ascertain the eligibility of the candidate that shall be final and binding. Necessary scrutiny and verification will be done as per Govt. norms.
  •  The final merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in written test and oral Interview.
  •  .The final selection list will be published in the local daily NEWS papers and in the website: www.investinassam.com.

Written Examination pattern:
I. EXTENTION OFFICERS (IND)

  •  Duration – 2 hours and Total Marks- 85
  •  Written Exam will consist of two sections of Multiple Choice Questions:
  • Section I – Total Marks 60 and Section II – Total Marks 25
  •  Section I Compulsory paper for all candidates consisting of GK, English, Reasoning ability and Numerical ability.
  • Section II OPTIONAL – ANY ONE GROUP out of the following 12 groups will have to be attempted:-

Section II Group 1- Chemical Engineering Group 2- Mechanical Engineering Group 3- Civil Engineering Group 4- Textile Engineering Group 5- Computer Engineering Group 6- Computer Science Group 7- Plastic Processing Technology Group 8- Food Processing Technology Group 9- Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering / Tech Group 10- MSW Group 11- Advance Computer Applications Group 12- Industrial Management

II. ECONOMIC INVESTIGATOR (EI)

  • Duration – 2 hours and Total Marks- 85
  •  Written Exam will consist of two sections of Multiple Choice Questions:
  •  Section I – Total marks 60 and Section II – Total Marks 25
  •  Section I Compulsory paper for all candidates consisting of GK, English, Reasoning ability and Numerical ability.
  • Section II OPTIONAL – ANY ONE GROUP out of the following 2 groups will have to be attempted:-
