Final Result for APSC Combined Competitive Examination-2014, www.apsc.nic.in

Final Result Declare for Combined
Competitive (C.C.) Examination, 2014
: The Assam Public Service Commission on
Thursday, the 30th June, 2016 declared the final results of the Combined
Competitive (C.C.) Examination, 2014 and recommended 180 candidates for ACS and
Allied Services.

The C.C. Exam, was held in three
phases which included Preliminary, Main & Viva- voce. The first stage of
the examination was the Preliminary Exam, which was held on 28th Sept 2014.
Though a total 52,520 candidates applied for the examination, however 24,722
candidates appeared finally in the said examination across 22 centres all over
the State. Subsequently, a total of 2,150 candidates were called for the Main
Exam. The result of the Main Examination was declared on 18th June 2016 and 371
candidates {based on the ratio of 1:2 as per the provisions of the APSC
(Procedure & Conduct of Business) Rules, 2010) were finally called for the
viva-voce interview which was held from 15th June to 22nd June 2016.
As in the past, the women
candidates continued to show excellent results, bagging the first four
positions of the ACS (Jr) Grade and Ankita Bora belonging to OBC category
topped in the said category. Similarly, a woman candidate viz., Wahida Begum
secured the first position in the cadre of Superintendent of Taxes. In the same
way, Suranjita Hazarika got first position in the cadre of District Transport
Officer.
The Commission has introduced a
number of innovative measures to expedite the process of selection as well as
bringing in more transparency to the system. For the first time, videography
system was adopted during the viva-voce interview of the said examination which
has increased the transparency of the system.
The APSC conveys sincere thanks
and gratitude to all those persons, institutions who were involved in various
stages for the smooth conduct of the examination. The APSC looks for similar
