invited for the below mentioned positions in the DBT sponsored network project entitled “Network
Programme for Enrichment and update of Plant Chromosome Database for Spermatophytes and
Archegoniate” under Prof. S. R. Rao, Department of Biotechnology & Bioinformatics, North Eastern Hill University, Shillong. The details of qualifications and emoluments for the positions are as under:

Post Details:

1. Junior Research Fellow

Qualifications: M.Sc with minimum of 50% marks in Biotechnology/Botany/Plant Molecular
Biology/Genetics/Bioinformatics (NET/GATE candidates will be given preference)

Desirable: Experience in plant cytogenetics and chromosome biology will be preferred.

Emoluments: as per DBT norms.

*HRA shall be paid only in case the Associate/fellow is not provided University Accommodation/ Hostel.

2. Data Entry Operator Consolidated

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Science/Engineering with minimum 50% marks and one year Diploma/Certificate in Computer Science is preferred.

Desirable: Knowledge of Plant Science and experience in Networking/Programming/handling scientific/office management works.

Emoluments: Rs. 15,000/- p.m. consolidated. The emoluments may change as per DBT notifications from time to time.
